Beskrivning
With a resin print base, we enhance these figurines with a layer of real metal in our spray booth, and then create a unique finish with care and precision. Let’s take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of these refined figurines, so that you can inform your clients effectively during your appointment.
Advantages:
- Higher level of detail: Since the figurine is sprayed rather than cast, we can achieve a high level of detail, bringing even the finest details to life in the figurine.
- Price: Refined figurines are more affordable than bronze cast statues, making them an attractive option for clients with various budgets.
- Minimal visible printing spots: Due to the refining process, there are almost no visible printing spots, resulting in a smooth and professional surface finish.
- Consistent color and finish: Compared to other materials, refined figurines have less variation in color and finish, meaning the end product closely matches the chosen sample.
Disadvantages:
- Lightweight and fragile: Because the figurine has a resin print base and only contains a thin layer of real metal, the weight of the figurine remains low, which may result in vulnerability to breakage in case of a fall.
- Potential discoloration: Patinated refined figurines may discolor over time. Although this can largely be buffed out with, for example, beeswax, it is important for clients to be aware of this possibility.
- Variable texture: The texture of refined figurines can vary depending on the metal compositions used and the specific spraying and sanding process, resulting in subtle differences between individual figurines.
