Our composite sculptures are highly durable, as they are resistant to breakage. For the casting process, we use a resin print to create our molds. The composite sculptures are cast and finished in our workshop.

Advantages

• Durability: Composite is a robust material that can withstand bumps and falls, although not as indestructible as bronze. While composite sculptures may not shatter, it’s possible for small pieces to chip off, such as from the arms or neck.
• Look and Feel: Holding a composite sculpture feels distinctly different from holding one made of resin. Composite mimics the texture and behavior of natural stone.
• Unique Character: Each composite sculpture has its own unique appearance and story due to the artisanal casting process.
• Color Variation: No two composite sculptures have the exact same color. While we find this characteristic appealing, it’s important for your customer to be aware of it.

Disadvantages

• Color Variation: No two composite sculptures have the exact same color. While we consider this a significant advantage, not everyone may share this opinion.
• Imperfections: “Her imperfections are what make her perfect.” Composite is our most robust material and will always exhibit small cracks, bubbles, and holes. Specify in the comments whether your customer prefers the sculpture to be as robust or as polished as possible, but keep in mind that no composite sculpture is entirely smooth.
• Visible Processing Marks: Processes like milling and sanding can sometimes leave visible marks on the surface of the composite sculpture, contributing to its handmade character, but this may be a consideration for some individuals.
• Diversity in Detail: Since each casting is unique and each sculpture requires its own specific gating channels, the level of detail may vary between different sculptures. If preserving all details is crucial for your customer, composite may not be the optimal choice.
